I gave it a try. Ordered General Tso's chicken and a Diet Coke. I was unimpressed. I think the chicken was either fried and sat around all day because it tasted old, or was frozen and thawed out and cooked, because it looked like chicken nuggets from McDonald's in shape.  It didn't taste like fresh chicken or freshly cooked. It tasted like it was heated up or something.  Not sure how else to say it. The place stayed consistently busy with carry outs.  So service was quick and the food came out in a timely manner and the waitress was friendly.   I've had better, but if I long for Chinese food, I know where to go in a crunch.  Although it's in the area, I probably will not go back anytime soon, and definitely will not order the General Tso's chicken. I wish I had something more positive to say.

Every time I go here I'm disappointed. Almond chicken gravy was tasteless and the chicken I couldn't even choke down. I don't know how people rave about this place.  Rainbow down the street is way better and it's definitely fresher tasting.

Solid 3. Almost a 4.. the food never takes long, they are always really nice, quiet cute atmosphere.
We have been here a few times and they never seem to be super busy.
The food quality overall is good. It's exactly what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Some dishes can be more flavourful than others.
We can always count on quality/consistency here. There hasn't ever been any major hiccups with our food. Some of the dishes seem a bit dry or over cooked and lack flavour. The price point is fair. Some stuff can add up quickly but its reliable if you are in need of a quick dinner.
I would be interested in trying their pad thai. I like their egg rolls. Their crab ragoon fried cakes and egg drop soup are my boyfriends absolute favourite and his mom loves a variety of dishes and the chicken.

Poor customer service amongst other things. Ordered a simple carry out. Pick it up, get home, food less than lukewarm then no sauce for the egg rolls. Call up there and they act as if they don't know, don't care, don't say anything. Good going Lum Star....yeah yeah sure don't I know everyone makes mistakes...funny how it happens to us  everyday everywhere we go

The service is so nice and the orders were perfectly accurate. But of course, the whole reason for eating out is the food. Everything was so greasy/oily, it was almost inedible. Everything except the Chop Suey was salty as salty can be. The worst Asian cousine take out I have had. It would be 1 star if not for the friendliness of the staff.
